Welcome to SOL!
The SOL building brings together several departments and units in the academic discipline of humanities. Here you can meet students and researchers from the Centre for Languages and Literature, the Department of Communication and Media and the Humanities Lab which is an interdisciplinary research technology and training facility. You can also find the following support units: The International Office, the Employment forum as well as the Student Union for Humanities and Theology (HTS).
SOL Opening hours
Monday–Friday: 7.30 a.m.–7.00 p.m.
Saturday: Closed.
Sunday: Closed
HT employees have always access.
The entrances are open Monday to Friday 6.30 a.m.–10.00 p.m. and Saturday 10.00 a.m.–4.00 p.m. for HT students and Department of Communication and Media students holding a LU card and pin. NB, when the building is closed for the public the doors between the houses are locked.
The building is also open when there are any planned activities in it. Use the ordinary doors.
The entrances into the main foyer and Absalon are open Monday to Friday 6.30 a.m.–10.00 p.m. and Saturday 10.00 a.m.–4.00 p.m. for HT students and Department of Communication and Media students holding a LU card and pin.
If you have an exam and the building is closed, please use the closest entrance, see Invigilated exams | Centre for Languages and Literature (lu.se).
If there are any other planned activities, the closest entrance will be open.
