Series

Lund Studies in English is an academic series founded by Professor Eilert Ekwall in 1933. The series is published by the English Unit at the Centre for Languages and Literature (SOL) at Lund University, with Professors Satu Manninen (English Linguistics) and Cian Duffy (English Literature) as the current editors. While many of the more than 120 publications in the series started life as doctoral dissertations, the series accommodates also monographs, textbooks, edited volumes, and other scholarly works by researchers affiliated with English Studies at Lund. The series welcomes contributions in all areas of English Studies, including English language and linguistics, English literature, English applied linguistics, English didactics, as well as the study and teaching of academic and professional/disciplinary English.

The editors ensure that all books published in the series are sound scholarly works of an internationally acceptable standard. The manuscripts are peer-reviewed by colleagues and other experts in the field; they may be sent to external peer-reviewers or to platforms intended for the review, publication, and dissemination of Open Access academic books.

The books published in the series after 2020 are available electronically and are open access. Print copies of many of the books can be ordered on demand.
