2nd-year PhD student researching the 'bog body phenomenon' at the intersections of archaeology, environmental humanities and posthumanism(s) in my PhD thesis: 'Toward a que(e)rying of bog body research: the bog beyond the body'

Key research interests:

  • the 'bog body phenomenon' of NW Europe
  • human remains from bogs, fens and intertidal peats
  • creation and perpetuation of narratives in bog body research
  • perceptions of the bog as an entity/landscape/space/place
  • death traditions and folklore
  • queer theory, posthumanism, more-than-humanism, etc

Further interests: forensics, bryology, critical plant studies, vegetal ontologies, ethics, archaeological and critical theory, the protection and preservation of wetlands, peats and bogs.

Supervisors: Åsa Berggren (LU) and Christina Fredengren (SU & UU)

Currently away from Lund on a Guest Researcher stay at the Posthumanities Hub in Linköping, researching a 'brown humanities' of peat, mud and moss and an anthropo(de)centric approach to bog body research.

In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
