This course offers a chance to strengthen your rhetorical skills and abilities in both speech and writing.
Teaching – autumn semester of 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our courses and programmes. Teaching and assessment during the first half of the autumn semester 2021 will be conducted both online and on campus. From 1 November more elements will be conducted on campus – the current schedule is available on course websites and/or in Canvas.
You will learn how to systematically prepare for a variety of oral and written communicative situations. What style, arguments and dispositions are appropriate for a particular situation? What communicative choices are the most suitable in regards to a specific audience? In this course you will learn how to choose your words, enhance your arguments, write convincingly, and speak engagingly. You will also learn essential rhetorical theory to analyze the rhetoric of others.
