The course gives an orientation in basic theories dealing with language and thought and with cognitive prerequisites for language language as well as cognitive consequences of language. The course also provides an orientation in methods for the scientific study of language and thought. The course consists of lectures, literature studies, as well as practical exercises in the analysis of a number of assumptions regarding the relationship between language and thought.
